Central Forest Reserve National Park
Central Forest Reserve National Park is the protected rainforest belt around Mount Liamuiga, covering much of the interior high ground of St Kitts.
Overview
Central Forest Reserve National Park covers a wide band of upland rainforest on St Kitts, with steep slopes, heavy canopy, and wetter conditions than the coast below. It is a large interior forest landscape, not a single overlook or short roadside stop.
The reserve wraps around the high ground associated with Mount Liamuiga and connects with trails including Military Trail and Peter Manning Trail. On the island map, it sits across the central and northern highlands rather than within one coastal district.
This protected forest is best read as the island's main upland canopy system. It holds together mountain slopes, stream catchments, and trail corridors across the interior of St Kitts.
