Conaree Beach
Conaree Beach is an exposed east-coast beach north of Basseterre, with open Atlantic water and a low-key shoreline near Conaree village.
Overview
Conaree Beach sits on the Atlantic side of St Kitts in Saint Peter Basseterre, along the coast near Conaree village north of Basseterre. It forms part of the broader Conaree Area, the windward village-and-road corridor on this side of the island.
The beach is more exposed than the Caribbean-facing beaches, so surf and water movement are usually stronger here. It is better approached as an open coast with changing conditions than as a sheltered swim beach.
Visitor facilities are limited, and the shoreline feels more local than commercial. That gives Conaree Beach a quieter identity than Frigate Bay, with access that is straightforward but not built around a beach strip of bars or resorts.
