Black Rocks
Black Rocks is a volcanic rock formation on the northeastern Atlantic coast of St Kitts near Belle Vue and Saddlers, where dark lava fields meet heavy surf.
Overview
Black Rocks is a broken field of dark volcanic stone along the Atlantic shore, where surf hits hard against jagged lava rather than sand. The shoreline is rough, exposed, and shaped more by geology than by beach use.
It lies between Belle Vue and Saddlers on the northeastern side of St Kitts, away from the calmer Caribbean-facing bays and resort strips. In practical terms, it belongs to the island's windward shoreline.
This part of the coast reads as raw volcanic coastline rather than a beach stop. Black rock, open sea, and constant wave action are what give the site its character.
